Peter Ferguson A Coffee Can Kid™

Built through relationships, Grounded in purpose: Ready to help you Lean In Louder™ to People over titles.

Engage Peter to close the gap between being data-rich and relationship-poor.

A proud Coffee Can Kid™, Peter Ferguson is the Founder and Primary Belief Officer of Peter Ferguson BHS, LLC. For more than 30 years, he has helped schools, organizations, and communities move people from the seat to the stage. He powers individuals to discover and act on their unique potential through purpose-driven leadership, relationship-centered culture, and experiential facilitation. His work creates a tangible impact beyond the event itself.

The Value Peter Brings:
Peter doesn’t just motivate a room. He creates experiences where people feel seen, challenged, and connected. He equips participants with practical next steps. His approach blends humor, authenticity, and strategy. He uses real-world experience to strengthen culture, deepen relationships, and move individuals from passive participation to purposeful action.

If you’re looking for a sit-and-get speaker, Peter may not be your fit. If you want an experience that strengthens culture (beyond icebreakers), builds belonging, and inspires people to lean in louder long after the event ends, bring Peter into the room.

His speaking and facilitation work includes engagements with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands, University of Nebraska Athletics, and Kansas Children’s Service League. He has also worked with the National Conference on Student Life, the National Youth Advocacy and Resilience Conference (GA), Boys Town, and the Nebraska Association of School Boards. He participates in leadership gatherings across K–12, higher education, nonprofits, and community engagement spaces nationwide.

Peter Ferguson is a 25+ year youth development and leadership professional, Primary Belief Officer, and founder of Peter Ferguson BHS, LLC. Drawing on lived and professional experience, he has led youth-serving organizations and developed youth and adult experiences that strengthen culture, elevate people, and influence practice, procedures, and policy with impact that continues long after he leaves the room. Peter also brings that experience to leadership roles with Lincoln Public Schools and as host of Bigger Than the Score on 93.7 The Ticket KNTK Radio, and is a recipient of the Nebraska State Education Association’s Outstanding Media Award. His work has earned local, regional, and national recognition for its impact on youth, leadership, and community.

Peter’s work consistently centers on people, purpose, and relationships, reaching across organizations, communities, and groups of all sizes. His impact has earned national and regional recognition, including the YWCA Mentors and Allies Award and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Chancellor’s “Fulfilling the Dream” Award. He is an inductee into his high school’s Hall of Fame, and his work and influence were chronicled in the Heartland Emmy-nominated We Will Not Be Silent. Peter was also named among the Lincoln Journal Star’s 30 Most Influential Nebraskans and has served on numerous local and statewide boards.

Whether working with a large organization or a smaller, more intimate group, Peter keeps the same focus: investing in people and letting purpose lift the work.
